The Adwumawura Programme is designed to support young Ghanaians between 18 and 35 years
The Adwumawura Programme is a flagship project designed to nurture 10,000 young entrepreneurs annually across the country and seeks to address youth unemployment and encourage entrepreneurship in Ghana. The programme is designed to create, mentor, and support at least 10,000 businesses annually, with a strong focus on empowering young people aged 18 to 35.
President Mahama described the initiative as “not merely a policy, but a declaration of faith in the extraordinary potential of Ghanaian youth”, underscoring the government’s commitment to youth empowerment and economic development.
The Adwumawura Programme operates under the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), operating under the newly established Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment. The program, which is fully funded, has secured the necessary allocation under the 2025 National Budget through the Ministry of Finance. The program’s goal is to assist Ghanaians between the ages of 18 and 35 in starting and expanding their own companies. It provides all-encompassing support, which includes equipment and comprehensive business development services.
